Hello and welcome to our new website and blog!

Hi! Welcome to Our Blog!
If you are Irish or know someone who is Irish, or if you are into celebrating St. Patty’s Day in a BIG way, then I wish you a speedy recovery from the party and celebrations last week.

This year our FHFI team was celebrating the day with hard work doing the final tie ups and rewrites of the website you now see in front of you. This was movement was led by our fearless Social Media and Marketing Director, Christi, who did lots of research and worked out how we can bring our message more easily to you – our readers – with content more easily updated and LOTS OF PICTURES!

Your input to this blog will be very valuable and, if constructive, we will post your comments and share your successes, advice and wisdom.

Our projects are really heating up and the demand for our FHFI support has never been higher. We are looking for volunteers to help us meet our goals this year.

Our original and easiest project is sponsoring the girls from a very rural part of northern India who attend a school that is changing their lives. The school is provided to the girls for free but is already over capacity. The first stage we are working on is to get the 1,300 girls sponsored fully at just US$25 per month each. We have developed creative ways to do more as a US$100 monthly sponsorship will sponsor 5 girls. We have our long term supporters who have been with us over the last 5 years, but we have never had more than 40 girls sponsored.

Now we need your help to make it all the way to the 1,300 sponsored girls mark. This will allow the school to expand the facilities and within another 2 years, be able to construct a building to take the more than 5,000 student potential, plus turn the existing facility into a teacher training college, thus providing the graduates with a viable livelihood and hope for a self-sustaining future that will raise the educational standards in one of the most populated states (at over 200 Million in this state – NOT county).

Contact our Project Manager Deputy Executive Director, Jinnie Rosales, at DeputyED@FHFInow.org for more info on the plans and project to make this target happen. We are looking for partnerships with company HR Departments to offer this opportunity to their employees, for corporate grants, for affiliate marketing partners who will leverage our program to help others give back through their product sales. We are even launching a new car donation program where anyone can donate an old car, truck, RV or boat and get a tax deduction for the donation; the net revenue from this program will go straight to sponsoring FHFI projects.

I go to these projects and work on the final products as often as I can. Here are some pictures from some past trips:

This is a picture I took out in one of the villages in northern India. You can see the girl student in the green uniform taking a video of the proceedings. These younger girls are the ones who now dream of changing their lives like their older sisters and friends had an opportunity to do.

Help us make their dreams a reality.  Share intheir success. Volunteer, help as an assistant or teacher at the school and/or help us raise the targeted $30,000 per month to help continue the program     while building for the future!
